    Lionel Messi at his Best breaking Batistuta’s goalscoring record for Argentina


    Lionel Messi’s superb free-kick against USA, ensured that he is now Argentina’s all-time top goalscorer, surpassing Gabriel Batistuta’s record.


    The 28-year-old’s goal was the second, as Argentina mauled the hosts 4-0 to qualify for the final of the Copa America Centenario. With Life of G. Higuain and E. Lavezzi on the Scoring sheet.

    Messi now has 55 goals for his country and is also the top goalscorer in the history of La Liga, Barcelona and El Clásicos.

    Argentina, who are now favourites to win the tournament, will face who soever win the game between Chile or Colombia.
