Celebrity: Teresa Giudice Says my Husband Joe Is Getting Six-Pack Training

ET had Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga interview her sister-in-law and co-star, Teresa Giudice, on Wednesday, and Teresa gave an update on how her husband, Joe, has been doing in jail. Joe, 44, checked himself in to the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on March 23 to begin a 41-month prison sentence, after the couple pleaded guilty to multiple counts of bankruptcy fraud in 2014. 

"He's doing good," Teresa, 44, says about Joe. "You know, being positive and we're just both taking one day at a time." 

When Melissa asks if Joe is getting the six-pack abs she always told him she wanted, Teresa confirms that this is the case, and says he's also dieting. 

"He's eating right ... because you know, it's good," Teresa shares. "He said it's good. He's getting his mind focused and he's not drinking. I guess he was drinking a lot, so ..." 

Teresa also reveals the couple is keeping their romance alive while he's away -- through some steamy emails courtesy of Joe! 

"No, I'm not going to say what the emails say," she smiles.

The Bravo star notes that the time away could actually be beneficial to their marriage.

"We're married 16 years and I just can't wait for him to get home," she says. "I think it's just going to spice up our marriage even more. Yeah, when I came home [from her own 2015 prison stint] it's like falling in love all over again." 

Teresa served 11 months at Danburry Correctional Institute in Connecticut, and was released last Dec. 23 just in time to spend Christmas with her husband and four daughters, Gia, Milania, Audriana and Gabriella. Teresa and Joe were allowed to serve time separately, so that one of them could be home to take care of their children. 

Teresa calls being with her husband for the three months before he had to start serving his own prison sentence her biggest "indulgence" since coming home. 

"Being with Joe, yeah, being with my honey ... in bed," Teresa laughs. "That was the best."

… Teresa really loves spending time in bed, whether it be with just Joe, or with her four girls.

"My favorite moment [since returning from prison] is just being with Joe and the girls," Teresa tells Melissa. "Again, not to bring up the bed, but, like, I just love being in our bed. Being in our king size bed -- me, Joe and our four daughters. We just hang out and, like, tickle each other and have fun. And push each other off the bed, and it's kind of funny."
