    Cristiano Ronaldo back in a Sporting CP shirt

    It was an emotional night for Cristiano Ronaldo as former club Sporting CP came to Real Madrid for a tough Champions League encounter.


    Initially expected to be a stroll past the Lisbon outfit, Los Blancos laboured to a late 2-1 win, which included Ronaldo's free-kick strike that went uncelebrated by the 31-year-old.

    After the game, the attacker met Sporting's stars in the dressing room at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, and was pictured in a CP jersey alongside Adrien Silva and William Carvalho as the club continues to hold a special place in his heart.
